FREE TRAINING – Reducing Parental Conflict

The City of Wolverhampton Council is offering FREE Reducing Parental Conflict training to professionals in Wolverhampton. Research shows that children exposed to parental conflict experience a decline in their mental health and poorer long-term outcomes.

Paid staff or volunteers who have contact with parents either directly, or by working with their children, play an important role in identifying and supporting the reduction of parental conflict. There are two different courses available:

1. Standard ‘Reducing Parental Conflict’ training 
•    supports practitioners working with families to build awareness and develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to work with parents to reduce conflict and so improve outcomes for children.
•    this training will take place on a number in February and consists of 2 modules which will be covered in one day running from 9:00am – 5:00pm.
•    The location and exact date of the training will be confirmed upon registration.
•    Please note places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
•    Refreshments will be provided but delegates are asked to bring their own lunch.

2. Train the Trainer in Reducing Parental Conflict 
•    This two day course will be held on Monday 17th February 2020 and Tuesday 18th February 2020
•    It will run from 9-5pm each day
•    This course is suitable for more experienced practitioners
