Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council, working closely with GPs in Wolverhampton, are expanding the City’s successful Social Prescribing Service and are recruiting the following posts.

Social Prescribing Link Workers x 6
37 hours per week £26,250  (band 5 equivalent)

Based within GP practices in Wolverhampton, you will be working alongside people with long term conditions, low level mental health issues, or who are lonely and isolated; agreeing a range of non-medical interventions and activities to improve their health and well-being. You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding of the health and social care environment.
  • Good knowledge of the Voluntary and Community sector.
  • An ability to support the development of community activities.
  • A real commitment to Social Prescribing as a way of improving health and well-being.
