Caring for our Future Consultation Response October 2012
Introduction
This response is informed by a number of consultation events arranged by NAVCA with the support of the Department of Health Strategic Partners programme and in partnership with our members in Sutton, Kensington and Chelsea, Wolverhampton, Cumbria and Norfolk. Each event involved representatives from the local authority and, as well as providing an opportunity to explain the proposals in the Caring for our Future White Paper and the related draft bill to voluntary and community organisations in the area were a chance to consider how the proposals might be implemented locally. Around 150 local voluntary and community organisations took part in the five events and this response combines NAVCA’s views with those of the participants in the events.
