The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) – seeking nominations for 2021

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen’s coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups.

  • Is there a group that you think should be nominated?
  • Would you like to nominate your own group?
  • Do you need support with the QAVS nomination process?

Each year, WVSC works with strategic partners to look at potential QAVS nominations for Wolverhampton. Over the years, WVSC has supported a wide range of voluntary, community and faith sector groups through this process.

There is more information and guidelines here:

Nominations have to be submitted by midnight on 25th September 2020 to make sure that the nominated group is considered for the 2021 awards.

If you are interested in nominating a group / wish to nominate yourselves and/or you need support through this process, please contact: Sharon Nanan-Sen
