Community Renewal Fund

The Community Renewal Fund is a pilot for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with funding available this year for the period September 2021 – March 2022. (The UK Shared prosperity fund will replace EU funding from 2022 onwards)

Applications to the Community Renewal Fund will first go to the West Midland Combined Authority (the lead agency for the region) which will then make recommendations to Central Government (MHCLG)

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 12th May 2021

The funding is available for:

  • Investment in Skills
  • Supporting people into Employment
  • Investment in Communities and place
  • Investment in local business.

Applications are expected to be for more than £500K.

Collaboration between and across sectors and geographical areas will be important.

Applications will need to show a “strategic fit” with local/regional priorities.

More details on the fund can be found here.
