The government has launched a £4 million grant fund to support the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector on suicide prevention services. See https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/suicide-prevention-fund-2021-to-2022 for full details, guidance and a link to the application portal.
The deadline for applications is 16th Jan 2022.
£200,000 of the grant funding has been ring-fenced specifically to help support small community groups and organisations which play a vital role in responding to local needs, ensuring communities up and down the country can access suicide prevention support.
Organisations involved in suicide prevention at whatever level, are strongly encouraged to link with Wolverhampton Suicide Prevention Stakeholder Forum (a local charity) by emailing Stephen Dodd sdodd@wolverhamptonvsc.org.uk (a WSPS Forum member).
Any organisation that applies to the fund is also encouraged to email sdodd@wolverhamptonvsc.org.uk with very brief details of what the grant is for and the amount applied for. This is to enable WSPS Forum to have a better understanding of the suicide prevention work being undertaken in the city.
