Grants of up to £2000 are available for voluntary and community organisations wishing to put on summer holiday activities for children, young people or families in the city.
Firstly, apologies for the late notice of this summer holiday activity grant funding, and for the short timescales this involves.
The Children and Families Together Board is actively encouraging organisations across the city to get involved in contributing to this year’s summer offer which will consist of:
- promoting activities that are already planned and funded
- providing additional grant funding to enable organisations with ideas for activities but which are not currently funded. This will include activities and support at a universal and a targeted level.
We are well aware that Covid-19 has resulted in many organisations having to modify or reduce their usual provision and change the way they engage with children, young people and families. So, at the same time as rolling out a straightforward and proportionate grant process, we are asking you to complete a short survey so that we can understand the current offer across the city.
One you have completed the survey, you will be able to access the application form for grants of up to £2000 for summer activities. Higher value projects up to £5,000 may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
This grants process will be a rolling programme, with decisions being made every fortnight. So, whether you would like to apply to purchase some resources to encourage family time, or undertake direct delivery for a few days or throughout the school holidays, just make an application!
