Our Social Prescribing Team’s Support To Connect project, which aims to tackle the growing problem of loneliness and isolation amongst city residents has been praised by members of the City council’s Adults and Safer City Scrutiny Panel.

Cllr Lynne Moran (Lab. St Peter’s) said: “I just want to say how fabulous this is. It’s quite one of the most remarkable projects I have seen for a while. It is an excellent model of good practice.

“It demonstrates to us all what we should be thinking about when we want to work within communities. I want to say very well done to all the workers.”

Cllr Simon Bennett (Con. Merry Hill) added: “I just want to echo the comments of Cllr Moran. This is a really good project that shows the public sector and the private sector coming together to deliver something that really does change people’s lives.”
