The Social Audit Network (SAN) is a not-for-profit organisation whose Annual Event took place on the 17th October 2018 with people attending from across the country. Social Accounting and Audit (SAA) is about assessing the social value generated by an organisation. It helps you prove, improve and account for the difference you are making as follows:

Prove: account for and report on your organisation’s social, environmental and economic performance and impact

Improve: provide the information essential for planning future actions and improving performance

Account: be accountable to all those you work with and work for

There are costs. For more information, visit: http://www.socialauditnetwork.org.uk/getting-started/what-is-social-accounting-and-audit/

SEW held its first Steering Group meeting on 18th October 2018 which offers a strategic view in supporting and steering the project’s activities. It includes representatives from the Voluntary Sector, City Council and the Key Fund. The Key Fund invests in community and social enterprises, particularly those in disadvantaged areas, who have traditionally been excluded; turned down by mainstream banks and building societies.
