VCS Support - Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council

If you are an individual looking for voluntary opportunities, please visit our Wolverhampton Volunteers website to find out more.

We offer wide range of advice and support to Voluntary and Community Organisations (VCO’s) around their individual development issues.

This includes one to one support, training & resources to plan for your future, increase your skills and give the best service to your customers/beneficiaries.

Whether you wish to form a new group or you are an existing organisation wanting to move forward and develop, we are here to support you.  We can also offer advice and support with identifying and applying for funding opportunities.

As part of this service we have led on the development of Firm Foundations – The VCS (Voluntary and Community Sector) Good Practice Toolkit, in consultation with the sector and commissioners, to provide a guide to key areas of organisational development:

  • Governance
  • Business Planning
  • Human Resources
  • Engagement
  • Promotion and Marketing
  • Money Matters
  • Commissioning and Procurement
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Performance Management
  • Networking and Collaboration
